Healthcare Informatics is the intersection of information science, computer science, and health care. The program focuses on information technology to positively impact the patient - physician relationship through effective collection, safeguarding, and understanding of health data. You will learn how to implement new technologies and help control costs in healthcare settings. Areas that may be covered are advanced classification systems, data security and privacy management thus familiarizing you with information systems and health policy, to prepare you for a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and doctor’s groups.

  • Passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biology/Technical vocational subject for Bio-Technology branch 10+02 in any PCB discipline or equivalent may also eligible for admission. The Candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subject taken together. In case the seats are not filled then the minimum required percentage may be lowered by 5% for candidates form both the categories with the permission of Vice Chancellor.
